New unique level dependent hearing protector from Peltor

The Peltor Tactical XP is a new level dependent hearing protector with possibility to change a number of settings so the user can adapt their hearing for different environments and own preferences. Settings can easily be adjusted with a mode button on the cup. 

New technology with enhanced performance
The level dependent function is today a well known feature used in many products. It enhances your ability to hear weak sounds and instantly blocks out harmful noise. With new digital technology Peltor has created a sound reproduction and a sense of direction that are as close to nature as humanly possible. The reaction to high impulse noise is instant but it adjusts smoothly without the sharp sound clip that is typical for most level dependent hearing protectors on the market. "You can hardly notice when the hearing protector blocks out harmful noise" says Daniel Vickman Ass. Brand Manager at Peltor. "We have spent a lot of time to fine tune this. Our goal is to enhance people's ability to hear what they want to hear without compromising on comfort and sound quality".
Also the amplification of weak sounds is increased to up to around 17 dB which means that you in rather silent situations, loud and clear, can hear sounds that is barely noticeable with your normal hearing.

Adapted Hearing
The Tactical XP has some very interesting new features. With a mode button on the headset you can go through a menu of different setting modes and adjust them individually. Apart from volume adjustment you can change balance between left and right cup, activate an equalizer function or change the release time for the level dependent function. A "ghost voice" confirms each mode and its setting. "Since we developed the first level dependent function in hearing protectors, about 25 years ago, we have constantly improved the system. We now take another big step by allowing for people to adjust it according to their own preferences and working environment" explains Daniel Vickman.
Especially the equalizer function is a totally new and unique feature that makes it possible to filter out certain frequencies in order to better hear the sounds you want to hear, and thereby improve sound quality and speech recognition.

Complete range
The Peltor Tactical XP will be available different versions with headband, neckband or for helmet attachment. It will also be available in Headset models for complete two-way communication. Either via a Push To Talk adapter to a communication radio or phone etc. or via a special detachable cable.
